It's a day for German beer and lively competition, including a keg toss competition, stein hoisting competition. best mustache competition, best dressed competition and some corn hole, too, because why not. There will also be German food, beer and music from the German Oktoberfest Band.

9 a.m. Sunday, Eastern Prom, Portland. $30. 

There’s beer at the end. And pizza. And massages. Starting on the Eastern Prom, the course heads over and around Back Cove, ending at East End Beach with an afterpart. The Wiggles: Rock 'n' Roll Preschool show will be performed this weekend at the Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord. The show will feature songs from The Wiggles' new Rock 'n' Roll Preschool CD and DVD. You'll shake to That's the Sound of Rock & Roll, rise and shine with Wake Up!, swing along as you Dance with Emma and be the coolest kid in preschool with I Want a Leather Jacket.
