It's a day for German beer and lively competition, including a keg toss competition, stein hoisting competition. best mustache competition, best dressed competition and some corn hole, too, because why not. There will also be German food, beer and music from the German Oktoberfest Band.
9 a.m. Sunday, Eastern Prom, Portland. $30.
There’s beer at the end. And pizza. And massages. Starting on the Eastern Prom, the course heads over and around Back Cove, ending at East End Beach with an afterpart. It’ll be scenic and purty and all that, but that’s not really what interests you. It’s the beer at the end (courtesy of Shipyard). And pizza (courtesy of Portland Pie Company). Plus yoga, massages and healthy snacks.

A classic summer evening at the drive-in just got more classic with Bridgton Drive-In's Encore Retro Weekend. Catch "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and "Jaws" on screen 2 and be glad you're safe in a car and not floating in the open ocean or trapped in the Well of Souls with a whole bunch of snakes.
Zajac (metal fabricators) and Funky Bow Brewery hosting the 2nd Annual Funky Fest!” 10 of York Counties’ Best Breweries including Blue Current Sake, Banded Horn, Barreled Souls, Federal Jack’s, Gneiss, Hidden Cove, Run of the Mill, Some & Tributary will be pouring local, craft beer. Funky Fest is this Saturday September 19th from 12-6pm at the Funky Bow Brewery in Lyman, ME Admission is $45 and includes live music from 5 bands and a commemorative tasting glass which you can fill all day! The Wiggles: Rock 'n' Roll Preschool show will be performed this weekend at the Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord. The show will feature songs from The Wiggles' new Rock 'n' Roll Preschool CD and DVD. You'll shake to That's the Sound of Rock & Roll, rise and shine with Wake Up!, swing along as you Dance with Emma and be the coolest kid in preschool with I Want a Leather Jacket.
