Prides Corner Drive-In is open for one more weekend of the 2025 season with a triple feature of three holiday classics up on the big screen.

One of the few remaining drive-in movie theaters left in Maine, Prides Corner Drive-In has been around since 1953 and is still going strong today.

The current ownership has shown the latest releases along with some classics that you may have never seen on the big screen. There have been several triple features of similar-themed movies during this season, including Halloween, the Back to the Future trilogy, and their final triple feature to end the season on November 28th and 29th.

The Polar Express

I was never really interested in The Polar Express, which is odd for someone who likes trains as much as I do, but despite how I felt about the movie, it still raked in $318.9 million at the box office, which isn't bad when you take into consideration the movie was released 20 years ago.

Elf

Starring Will Ferrell as Buddy the Elf, the late Ed Asner as Santa Claus, and James Caan as Walter Hobbs, this was perfect casting. "SANTA!!!!!!!!!! I know him!"

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

This is hands down my favorite Christmas movie of all time, and also the best of the four National Lampoon's Vacation films. So many laughs that never get old.

If you want to catch this triple feature, it will be shown at Prides Corner Drive-in on November 28th and 29th, with show times as follows:

  • The Polar Express at 4:30 PM
  • Elf at 6:35 PM
  • National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation at 8:20 PM

The gate opens by 4 PM. Tickets for this triple-feature are cash only at $20 per car up to two people, $30 for three to five people, and $5 for each person beyond 5.
