It was two years ago today, on December 4, 2023, that musician and TV celebrity John Tesh came to Aura in Portland, Maine, to perform a Christmas show, with nothing but his keyboard and a packed house waiting to see Tesh in person.

Many people remember first seeing John Tesh as an anchor for Entertainment Tonight, back when it was more like a news studio rather than quick clips of celebrities like it is today.

He's also a talented musician and composer who wrote the NBA on NBC basketball theme "Roundball Rock." It has become iconic and instantly recognizable to this day. He also hosts the Intelligence for Your Life radio show heard on 949 WHOM.

The day he arrived in Portland to set up for his show, he was gracious and humbled by the turnout for the show. With just his electronic keyboard and a microphone, he put on a performance that many will never forget.

He even had some fun with trivia questions that would show up on Aura's big screen at the back of the stage.

John Tesh has a talent that many strive to achieve. It's a lot of hard work to become a composer and musician, but he does it so well.

Want to hear the story of how he composed "Roundball Rock?" Check out this video from a while back that tells the interesting, but odd story of how he came up with the idea.
