OK, friends, time to deal with those 14 bags of cans you’ve been “meaning to return” since 2022. THIS IS YOUR SIGN.

The 24th Annual Cans for a Cure is happening October 14–16, 2026, in the Maine Mall parking lot in South Portland, and we are getting ready to turn all those sticky cans and bottles into something that actually matters.

And this year, we’ve got a little something extra.

Here's What's New for Cans for a Cure 2026

Lizzy & Chris from the 94.9 WHOM Morning Show will be driving around in the Can Van, collecting donations from all of you wonderful people who have been saving up your bottles and cans.

You can donate online here!

Want to get on the Can Van route? We'll see if we can squeeze you in. Fill out the form below:

Basically, you clean out your garage. We show up. Everybody wins.

But here's a big surprise: We’re Teaming Up With WBLM!

This year, 94.9 WHOM and WBLM's The Captain and Celeste are teaming up for Cans for a Cure!

While Chris and I roam Maine in the Can Van collecting your donations, The Captain and Celeste will broadcast LIVE from the Cans for a Cure tent at the Maine Mall.

So you may hear us on the radio… and then look out your window and see the Can Van coming down your street.

How You Can Help Cans for a Cure 2026

You can bring your bottles and cans directly to us at the Cans for a Cure tent at the Maine Mall.

You can donate online here!

Every little bit helps support the fight against cancer and the work of the Maine Cancer Foundation, helping fund cancer research and programs right here in Maine.

And that's really what this event is about. It's not just cans. It's neighbors helping neighbors.

When Is Cans for a Cure 2026?

Save the Dates! Cans for a Cure returns Wednesday, October 14, through Friday, October 16, 2026, right in the Maine Mall parking lot

I'll be there with Chris, the Can Van will be rolling, and The Captain and Celeste will be broadcasting live with WBLM.

So start saving those cans.

Clean out the garage.

Maybe don't look under your teenager's bed because… actually, never mind. You might find enough cans to fund the entire thing.

We'll see you at Cans for a Cure!
