Each week, we're highlighting a senior who played a part in making New England such a great place to live. This week, we want to salute David Royle, who was nominated by his friend Lydia.

She writes:

"David works endlessly to help other seniors remain living independently in their own homes as the Executive Director of our local At Home of New London, and as part of the national Village to Village network. He also serves as a deacon in our local church and is a friend to many families. Whether it's offering my 86-year-old mother and I support as she ages or being a mentor to my teenage sons, David is there to offer encouraging words and share his wisdom. He is a friend to many and an integral part of our local communities. He is most deserving of recognition for his caring spirit and kindness to so many."

Each week, HOM will be featuring a different senior who has made New England a better place to live. Nominate a special senior in your life to tell his/her story. They can be a relative, friend, neighbor or someone else you know. You can even nominate yourself. The featured senior will receive a $50 gift card to use at an area mall, and a one year subscription to American Senior magazine. They'll also be invited to a luncheon here at Townsquare Media, honoring all of the seniors we're saluting.
