We have been highlighting a different senior every week, who played a part in making New England a wonderful place to live. This week, we want to salute Sandra Denman from Topsham, Maine. She was nominated by her friend, Amy.

Amy writes:

Sandra Denman believes that education is the foundation for prosperity. As a member of the Class of 1954 Alumni Association, she helps raise money for Morse High School student college scholarships. As a Mid Coast Chapter Board Member of The University of Maine, Orono, Sandra and her Chapter have raised scholarship money for area students to buy text books. Sandra has also been volunteering over 15 years with the Mid Coast Hospital Auxiliary. She has been a board member (corresponding secretary) and chaired many a bake sale. Sandra is a wonderful addition to the Mid Coast community.

Each week, HOM will be featuring a different senior who has made New England a better place to live. Nominate a special senior in your life to tell his/her story. They can be a relative, friend, neighbor or someone else you know. You can even nominate yourself. The featured senior will receive a $50 gift card to use at an area mall, and a one year subscription to American Senior magazine. They'll also be invited to a luncheon here at Townsquare Media, honoring all of the seniors we're saluting.

Here are HOM's featured seniors so far:
