OK, somebody please cue up Good Charlotte's "Lifestyles of The Rich & The Famous," please. To be clear, I am not rich or famous, I just happened to be in the right place at the right time. Something I seem to be getting better at as I age.

The other night, my wife and I along with some friends from First National Bank, attended the Papa Roach and Shinedown concert at the Maine Savings Amphitheater in Bangor. Now I've been to this venue dozens of times, sat in just about every section and even been backstage to hang with artists, but I have NEVER had an experience like this.

We started our night off at the Sea Dog for drinks and dinner before heading over to the venue for the show. Because we had VIP tickets thanks to our awesome friends, we got to park in the VIP section and go in a separate entrance with no line. So cool!

When we got in, we were shown to our private 'Rock Box' reserved exclusively for First National Bank. It.Was.Awesome! We watched as Papa Roach melted our faces off with an hour-long set. After Roach was done and we were hanging around, we got a call from someone up in one of the SkyBox suites asking if we wanted to go up and check it out. Obviously, we said yes.

Once you're inside the upper level suites, it's like a whole new world. You can see the entire venue with a birds-eye view. You're incredibly close to the stage, too. Additionally, you have your own mini-fridge, hot food buffet, private bathroom, a TV and personal attendant.

Here's a little video I managed to snag last night..

If you ever get the chance to go up and experience one of these things, don't hesitate... just do it! You won't regret it.
