Most people, young and old, know who Dr. Seuss is. However, they may not recognize the name Ted Geisel. That’s Dr. Seuss’s real name.

Now, you can get a glimpse into Ted Geisel’s world — into the rooms where he created some of his literary masterpieces. Many of his possessions and furniture were donated to recreate his La Jolla, California studio and sitting room, including the chair, drawing table, and art materials he actually used, according to the Springfield Museums' website. You can also see never before publicly displayed art at his exhibit.

The Amazing World Of Dr. Seuss Museum is located in Springfield, Massachusetts. Its hours are:

Tuesday–Saturday: 10–5
Sunday: 11–5
Monday: Closed
