Coming off the heels of Camp Out Hunger 2020, I am always amazed at the generosity, and outpouring of love for our community when we all come together for a common goal to help each other.

Recently I was told about another wonderful event taking place in the mid-coast but open to everyone. It's call the Thomaston Random Act Of Kindness Take-out Thanksgiving Day Feast. Happening on, well, Thanksgiving!

A whole group of volunteers are getting together to offer anyone, a fully prepared "Thanksgiving Day Feast" for yourself, you and your family, it is open to all.

Due to the rising Covid-19 numbers in the recent weeks, the meal will not be a sit down meal together, instead, it will be a prepared meal(s) that will be packed, and picked up on that day so you can enjoy it at home.

If this sounds like something you, or someone you know would enjoy, simply email Kella at kellabellar@yahoo.com or call, text, leave a message for Nancy at 202-271-7779 to have a meal prepped for you. When you contact them, just let them know how many meals, and if there are any food allergies. Simply give them your name, phone number.

Pick up for the meals will be 12pm-2pm Thanksgiving day at the Federated Church, located at 8 Hyler Street in Thomaston. The meals will already be prepped and someone will bring them right out to your car for you.

Just one more touching way our communities are coming together to help each other. It truly is a beautiful thing!
