If you like good beer and having a fun time learning to make crafts out of sea glass, Crafts & Drinks has just the event for you.

Crafts & Drinks is an organization that puts on a wide variety of pop-up beginner craft workshops at local restaurants, breweries, recreation centers, and retirement homes, bringing their knowledgeable and experienced teachers to head these fun classes. They bring all the materials you need and even give you a free beer pour with your admission to classes held at breweries. Their next event is a sea glass craft class at Goodfire Brewing at 219 Anderson St in Portland on April 14 from 3 to 4:30.

What is sea glass you ask? Well if you aren't asking, I was, so I Googled it.

According to Wikipedia, "sea glass is physically and chemically weathered glass found on beaches along bodies of salt water. These weathering processes produce natural frosted glass and are used in decoration, most commonly in jewelry."

No skills or experience is necessary to join. Local artist Kara will be the instructor on hand to teach you how to make beautiful crafts out of sea glass. When you're done, you'll have two or three sea glass canvasses.

Tickets are $40 plus a $3.50 service charge. That includes all the material you'll need and instruction. Grab your tickets now before they sell out.

So get a group of your friends together and have a fun day out learning a new craft and enjoying some delicious beer. Get your tickets now.
