Goodfire Brew is Hosting a Booze-ter Clinic This Weekend

Goodfire Brewing Company is teaming up with Community Pharmacies and Cheese Louise to host a “Booze-ter” clinic this Saturday, Jan. 8 from 1-5 p.m.

The clinic will be hosted at the brewing company located at 219 Anderson St. in Portland with a Cheese Louise food truck on site. So yeah, it gets even better… you’re being a good person, drinking a beer, and eating a gourmet grilled cheese.

Heck yeah, bub.

While there’s a lot of chatter and arguments about the concept of vaccinations and whether or not they work, I am here to remind you all that yes, vaccines work, and yes, you should trust science. Read up on it here.

To quickly combat the, “well people who are vaccinated are still getting covid!” tangent, yes, they are, but with milder symptoms than they would otherwise because the vaccine is designed to not necessarily stop the transmission of the virus but to minimize the effect it has on your body and to reduce hospitalizations.

The smartest thing you can do right now is get vaccinated, and our dear friends at Goodfire, Cheese Louise, and Community Pharmacies are aiding in this process.

The clinic is offering any dose of any vaccine. Whether you need your first, second, or booster, and whether you need Pfizer, Moderna, or J&J, the clinic has it all ready to roll for you.

What you need to know:

This clinic is first-come, first-serve
It will be held on Saturday, Jan. 8 from 1-5 p.m.
What you need: Your vaccine card if you’ve already received at least one dose; a valid I.D., and an insurance card if you have one (But do not fret! Regardless, these vaccines are 100% free!)
First and second doses are available for ages 12+
Booster doses are available for those 16+

Once you receive your shot, you will be welcomed into the rest area for your 15-minute wait to make sure you’re feeling comfortable, with snacks and soda provided. You are then invited to stick around, sip on some brews, grab a grilled cheese, and bask in the glory of being a good samaritan.
