I pulled into Portland, Maine's VIP Tires & Service like I'd done a million times, to find it gone!

VIP Tires & Service has been part of my car-owning experience since I've owned a car. Obviously for tires, but also service stuff (hence the name). I'd list all the things done to the variety of cars I've owned, but it would take too long.  One of the things I LOVE that VIP does without complaint is put air in your tire when it gets cold and that stupid tire gauge turns on and tells me I have a tire with low pressure. So I pulled into Portland's VIP and thought I was having a fever dream when I saw this.

Where the heck did VIP Tires & Service in Portland, Maine go?

I had no idea what happened. I hadn't heard through the VIP grapevine. I went to the front door (apparently in shock) and saw the good news. They DID close down, but only because they are moving!

VIP Tires & Service in Portland, Maine is moving to a spiffy new location

The new place is at 522 Riverside Street just down the road from the old location of 35 Riverside Street. Well, I had to go peek and see what was going on.

Oooooo, that IS spiffy. I look forward to the new location and am sorry I missed the memo on the current Portland, Maine VIP closing. Glad it's just to move and not to close forever.
