Hello, WHOM. My name is Chris, and we are about to embark on a very entertaining ride.

WHOM's New Morning Show Now Features Lizzy Snyder & Chris Sedenka

I am beyond excited to become Lizzy's new co-host on the HOM Morning Show. Actually, to say I'm excited would be the understatement of the century. It's an honor to be able to work on one of the most legendary stations in the country, especially with someone as cool and talented as Lizzy.

For those who don’t know me, let me introduce myself.

My name is Chris Sedenka, and I’m a near-lifelong Mainer “from away.” How does that make sense? I moved here with my family at 4, grew up in the town of Gorham (Go Rams!), left for college, came back, and have lived and worked here ever since.

I absolutely adore living and working in Maine. It’s a state that fits my personality and interests perfectly.

Chris Sedenka's History in Maine Radio

I’ve also been extremely lucky to have worked in radio here since 2006, including with this radio group and our sister station the iconic WBLM since 2021. I get to work with some of the most talented and respected people in radio—not just in Maine, but in the country.

Off the mic, I enjoy exploring Maine’s trails, ski slopes, and food scene, frequently writing about my adventures for our websites. My wife and I are also the proud “parents” of a menagerie of fur babies. This includes three cats and an old rescue hound dog named Cliff, who might be 12 but acts 2. I think if you own a hound dog, you know exactly what I’m saying.

I’m an avid traveler, sailor, bowler, horrendous golfer, amateur chef, vinyl music lover, proud season ticket holder for the Portland Hearts of Pine, and diehard supporter of my beloved, and ever-cursed, West Virginia University Mountaineers.

I am going through a very stereotypical mid-life crisis. It includes an obsession with World War II, listening to jam bands, bourbon tasting, and building LEGO race cars.

I’m also a career-long afternoon host, so jumping into mornings will be a fun new avenue to spout off and have a whole bunch of fun with all of you.

Thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your morning. Let’s have some fun and not take life too seriously.
