Lewiston’s Former Ramada Unveils New ‘Maine Grill’ Sign as Clarion Transformation Continues
If you’ve driven down Pleasant Street in Lewiston lately, you’ve probably noticed something different at the old Ramada. And if you grew up around here, you definitely noticed.
The property has already been transformed into the Clarion Hotel & Conference Center Lewiston, with a major renovation and a brand spanking new restaurant, The Maine Grill, bringing new life to a place a lot of us remember for weddings, parties, nights out and plenty of memories.
But now, they’re putting a little more personality on the place.

On Thursday, September 10, The Maine Grill will officially unveil its new exterior sign during a press event at the Clarion, and honestly, it feels like one of those “okay, THIS is really happening” moments for this popular Lewiston landmark.
The event runs from 5 to 8:30 p.m., with appetizers and an open bar, and the actual sign unveiling is happening at 6:30 p.m.
And the sign? It’s giving old-school Lewiston meets fresh new chapter complete with the Maine Grill name front and center.
The restaurant itself is already open, serving up elevated pub-style favorites like burgers, lobster rolls, steak tips, fish and chips, wings, poutine and cocktails.
So no, this isn’t the old Ramada getting a facelift.
This is a whole new hotel, a whole new restaurant, and now… a whole new sign!
And if you’ve been watching this transformation happen, you know that sign going up is kind of a big deal.
Lewiston, your old landmark is officially getting its new identity.
