Lewiston, Maine is officially on the hunt for a new police chief and right now, the city officials are asking you to be a part of the process!
According to WGME, the longtime Chief David St. Pierre is set to retire in September and the role will need to be filled.
So, the city launched a nationwide search!

Lewiston City force is asking you for help! As per the article, City Administrator Bryan Kaenrath is the guy in charge of this search and he’s getting help from a group of advisors.
Kaenrath says, “We’re looking for more than just a resume,”
According to the article, the job of police chief requires at least 10 years of law enforcement leadership, a degree in criminal justice, and they’ll have to move to Lewiston within on year.
Concerns are arising on Facebook asking why they are not looking within the department or locally, according to commenters.
