After an in-ring career that spanned 30 years, Levesque was named WWE's new Head of Creative.

This brings a fair amount of optimism to the WWE Universe as Levesque (along with longtime friend and fellow WWE Legend Shawn Michaels) founded NXT - a developmental promotion based in Florida. Along with WWE Chief Branding Officer (now co-CEO) Stephanie McMahon, Levesque has also served as a valuable ambassador for WWE, making various cross-promotional appearances to promote the company.

In 2021, Levesque was sidelined with health issues, an absence that led to speculation that his days at WWE may actually be numbered. However, the man they call "The Game" would return this summer, declaring: "I'm back."
