8 Things to Know About New Hampshire Native and New WWE Boss Triple H

With the recent news that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon is “retiring” came the announcement that Nashua, New Hampshire, native Paul Levesque – a.k.a. Triple H – would assume a greater role behind the scenes, according to sportskeeda.com.

After an in-ring career that spanned 30 years, Levesque was named WWE's new Head of Creative.

This brings a fair amount of optimism to the WWE Universe as Levesque (along with longtime friend and fellow WWE Legend Shawn Michaels) founded NXT - a developmental promotion based in Florida. It was originally designed as a training ground for future WWE Superstars such as Bray Wyatt, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and current WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

To the delight of wrestling fans, NXT produced numerous memorable storylines and sold out Premium Live Events on the WWE Network, eventually scoring a weekly series on the USA Network. This earned Levesque a reputation as a strong producer and creative mind, in addition to a valuable resource thanks to his in-ring achievements.

Along with WWE Chief Branding Officer (now co-CEO) Stephanie McMahon, Levesque has also served as a valuable ambassador for WWE, making various cross-promotional appearances to promote the company.

In 2021, Levesque was sidelined with health issues, an absence that led to speculation that his days at WWE may actually be numbered. However, the man they call "The Game" would return this summer, declaring: "I'm back."
