Freeport, Maine’s Polo Ralph Lauren Outlet is Closing Its Doors

If you’ve been meaning to make a fancy shopping trip to Freeport, this might be your last chance to stop by one longtime fixture on Main Street. 

The Polo Ralph Lauren outlet store in Freeport is closing its doors for good this week, with the final day of business set for Friday, August 21, according to WMTW.

The store has been a very familiar part of Freeport’s shopping scene for decades, making the announcement a notable change for both locals and visitors who have made a habit of browsing its racks for classic Ralph Lauren styles. 

Meanwhile, over on Instagram, Polo Ralph Lauren is already looking ahead to the next school season. It's a reminder that while the brand itself isn't going anywhere, Freeport shoppers will soon have one less place to browse those looks.

And if you’re hoping to score a deal before the doors close, there’s still time.

The store is now advertising significant discounts and clearance sales, so shoppers may want to stop in sooner rather than later.

Of course, as with any closing sale, selection is expected to get more limited as inventory moves out. 

The good news for Ralph Lauren fans is that the brand isn’t leaving Maine entirely. The Polo Ralph Lauren location at the Kittery Premium Outlets in Kittery will remain open, giving shoppers another in-state option.

For Freeport, though, it marks the end of an era for a store that has been part of the town’s retail landscape for generations.
