Today retail giant Sam's Club took to Twitter to announce a new program aimed at some of our COVID-19 heroes.

Sundays, beginning on the 19th, from 8 am to 10 am, first responders and healthcare workers will be able to shop membership free. These hours are typically reserved for associates. They're calling them, "Hero Hours".

In addition to being able to shop, Sam's Club will also be providing masks.

Many businesses have rolled out senior shopping hours during the pandemic, but Sam's Club is among the first to offer shopping hours specifically for essential workers in the medical field.

There are currently three locations in Maine; Augusta, Bangor, and Scarborough and there are two locations in New Hampshire; Concord and Hudson.

Here's hoping more places will follow in their footsteps! Our healthcare workers definitely deserve some socially distant, exclusive shopping hours.
