L.L. Bean Flagship In Freeport Is Finally Open And Shoppers Are Thrilled
The L.L. Bean flagship store in Freeport, Maine has finally opened its doors after being shuttered for two and a half months, according to News Center Maine. All of L.L. Bean's retail stores including the flagship shut down on March 16th, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The report says the reopening is a part of phase two of the state of Maine's plan. The Maine CDC demands that guidelines must be followed by all businesses. News Center Maine says the shoppers who were in the store were more than happy to wear face masks and keep six feet apart from other people.
Two L.L. Bean stores -- the hunting and fishing, and the bike, boat and ski store reopened in the middle of May; however, the flagship store stayed closed. It was reportedly the first time in the company's history that it has been closed for more than a day.
