This Maine Sunflower Labyrinth Maze Is a Golden, Once-a-Summer Experience for the Family
There's something about a field of sunflowers that just makes you want to stop the car.
Maybe it's the bright yellow blooms.
Maybe it's the excuse to take way too many photos. Or maybe it's the fact that getting "lost" has never looked so good.
The Sunflower Labyrinth is back at Pineland Farms, open NOW to August 31st as per their site, for its second season, and if you're looking for one of those "this is so Maine" experiences before summer slips away, this is it.
A Late-Summer Maine Tradition You Don't Want to Miss
Unlike a traditional corn maze, this labyrinth winds through thousands of towering sunflowers, creating a picture-perfect path that's just as fun for kids as it is for adults. And yes, your camera roll is about to work overtime.
I'll admit it.. I'm a sucker for anything that's only around for a few weeks.
It instantly jumps to the top of my "I should probably do this before I completely forget and then get super mad at myself in September" list.
This is absolutely one of those things.
Your two-hour farm pass gives you access to the labyrinth, plus the chance to explore Pineland Farms, visit the farm animals, enjoy the scenery and soak up one of the prettiest stretches of late summer in Maine.
The best part? The sunflower season is short. And before you know it, the blooms are gone and everyone's talking about apple picking, pumpkins and the corn maze.
So grab your family, your friends or just your favorite photo buddy and make the trip. Sometimes the best way to end a Maine summer is getting a little lost... surrounded by sunflowers.
