For "You Tell Us" today it was a simple question - what's for breakfast?

My breakfast habits have evolved over the years. When I was a kid, it was cereal EVERY day. That lasted pretty much until I moved out of my parents' home. Around that time I started becoming aware of how much sugar is in most breakfast cereals.

For a while as a young adult, I did no breakfast at all. This is obviously very bad, so since then I've always tried to do something - a bagel, oatmeal, fruit, or my latest - a protein bar.

On weekends, I like to make a big breakfast - eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, waffles, hash browns...any combination or all of the above. But during the week, I just don't have time for that.

This morning, I posed the question to our listeners - what's your go to breakfast...especially during the week when you don't have much time? We got tons of calls, and comments on Facebook. Here are a few:

  • Bacon
  • Croissant Sandwich
  • Red Bull
  • Coffee
  • Yogurt and Mini Muffins
  • Bagel, scrambled eggs, bacon
  • Grapefruit
  • Breakfast wrap - fresh spinach, egg whites, red onions, cheese
  • McDonald's Mcafe caramel frappe
  • Oatmeal w/ fresh blueberries
  • Raisin toast with peanut butter
  • Smoothie
  • Banana and Toast
  • Protein shake
  • Fryed egg and cheese on English muffin
  • Cereal
  • Strawberry pancakes
  • Egg mug
  • Coffee and Sunbelt Bakery Chewy Granola Bars

It's so interesting to see all of the different things people choose for their first meal of the day. Thanks for all of the suggestions!
