Most hearty New Englanders love spending time outside, no matter what the season.  Yeah, most people would prefer to be hanging out outside on a summer night, but it is not uncommon to see people hanging around a firepit, drinking a beer, in the dead of winter.

If you like the idea of having a beer outside on a crisp fall evening, or even a sunny winter day, you need to make a trip to Oxbow Brewing Company's year 'round beer garden in Oxford.

Located on Route 26, the place features a tasting room / shop, a restaurant serving up wood-fired pizza (plus calzones, appetizers, and more), and a four season beer garden.  They also frequently feature live music and DJs.

One of the other cool features of the location is the fact that it is located adjacent to a Nordic (cross-country) ski trail system.  If you are familiar with the area, you may know the trail system as Carter's XC Ski.

Their website says this about the trails:

We are pleased to offer access to this free, use-at-your-own-risk network of beautiful mixed-use trails that run through the fields and forest behind this new Oxbow location. Nordic skis, fat bikes and snowshoes are available to rent on site from the nonprofit organization Portland Gear Hub.

They are open Wednesday through Sunday.  You can check out their menu, find out what beers they have on tap, and take a look at upcoming events on their website.

Maine Bars & Restaurants W/ Patios & Decks

Who doesn't love enjoying a beer and a burger on a patio (or deck) on a warm summer night? Clearly, as we are still dealing with the pandemic, you may want to reach out to each of these establishments to make sure they have not made any temporary COVID-related changes to their business.
