It's official: The Manchester Monarchs played their final game on Wednesday. They finished their season with a regular-season record of 39-29. According to WMUR, the organization is obviously disappointed they had to make this decision. It affects coaches, players, front office and sales personnel. Many people enjoyed attending the minor league games! It was something fun to do in town without having to schlep to Boston to watch a sporting event. Unfortunately, the attendance was too low to keep the organization afloat.

This news also surprised the SNHU arena who are still processing what this will mean for them. It leaves more of an opportunity for them to host concerts, trade shows, and other sporting events in the upcoming year.

The good news? The arena has begun searching for a new professional team to bring to the Queen City.

Will you miss the Manchester Monarchs? Did you ever go to their games?
