State Police Answer “Where’s The Beef?” [PHOTOS]

Maine State Police and the Maine Warden Service have recovered "Charlie," a plastic replica of a cow owned by Town & Country Meats in Greene.

Apparently the beef was hiding on a small island off the Androscoggin River in Auburn.

Great goof!

According to police, Charlie was stolen earlier in July. The plastic steer has been in front of Town & Country Meats for over 20 years.

Game Wardens helped the troopers bring "Chuck" home.
