As summer comes to a close, coffee shops throughout New England are getting into the spirit of fall by reintroducing everything pumpkin spice, from coffee and tea to doughnuts and muffins.

But one coffee shop in South Portland has decided to pull some inspiration from something other than the seasons by unveiling a line of drinks inspired by the Harry Potter series.

That would be Joe Muggs coffee shop, located inside the Books-a-Million store right next to the Maine Mall. Joe Muggs has several incantations that will delight fans of the books and films with a wide range of unique offerings.

The first thing most Harry Potter fans will want to know is "will there be Butterbeer?". The answer is yes, kind of. One of Joe Muggs signature magical drinks is the Butterbrew, a steamer mixed with butterscotch and caramel and topped with whipped cream and cinnamon.

Another signature magical drink on the menu this year is the Sherbet Lemon Cream Frappe. Potter fans know that lemon drops are known as sherbet lemon in the UK version of things, and Joe Muggs has embraced that with a delightfully tart frappe.

One other new addition to the magical menu this year is the Dragon's Breath Mocha, a chocolate coffee explosion that can be ordered hot, iced, or frozen.

This isn't the first year that Jog Muggs has embraced their wizarding side to roll out this line of specialty drinks. Each year, they make a few additions and subtractions to fill out the specialty menu.
