Hall of Fame at Cross Insurance Arena: A Nostalgic Treat for Hockey & Music Fans
At the Cross Insurance Arena in downtown Portland, Maine, there's a very interesting lounge inside the main entrance that you may have walked right past if you were in a hurry to get to your seats.
Saco & Biddeford Savings Hall of Fame Lounge
The Saco & Biddeford Savings Hall of Fame Lounge has seating and a full bar. The walls are adorned with memorabilia from championship hockey banners, backstage passes for concerts, and newspaper clippings of hockey championships and artists who performed at the Cross Insurance Arena, or were there when it was the Cumberland County Civic Center.
The Hall of Fame is located behind Section H and is open to the public to come in for a drink, to relax before the show or game, and to see all the amazing memorabilia on the walls that tell the history of the arena. Concerts, comedians, hockey championships. It has all been collected and placed in the Saco & Biddeford Savings Hall of Fame Lounge.
When I was at the arena for our Portland on Tap beer festival, I walked into the lounge and was in awe. I had to share what was in there, so I've put together a gallery of just about everything that is on the wall.
