The Price is Right Live is Returning to New England
The Price is Right is America's longest-running game show, and there's a good reason why. The thrill of going to a taping and possibly winning your way up on stage to play a pricing game and win a new car, $10,000, or any number of prizes is something you won't forget.
For several years, The Price is Right has had a scaled-down traveling show that brings The Price is Right to you, and it's coming to Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
The Price is Right Experience
That's me in the audience in 1999 as a guest of the producer of The Price is Right. We were right in the second row. The guy on the right is Rob Rosa who was one of the people I met on this trip. He managed to win his way up on stage and won a new car. It was amazing!
I was also thrilled to see Bob Barker in person as he flawlessly hosted the show that he was a part of from 1972 to 2007. Drew Carey took over hosting duties, and the show set was overhauled, but the pricing games were still the ones everyone knew and loved, as well as several new ones that have been added since Bob retired and later passed away in 2023.
The Price is Right Live
The Price is Right Live is the next best thing to going to Los Angeles to see the show. The set is smaller, the prizes are smaller, and the "big wheel" for the showcase showdown isn't quite as big.
In this version of the show, if you get called to "Come On Down!," you only get one shot to get up on stage, unlike the TV version where you stay in contestants' row until you either get up on stage with a good bid or the show is over and you walk away with "parting gifts."
The Price is Right Live Coming to Portsmouth, NH
The Price is Right Live will be at The Music Hall in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, on Wednesday, July 9 at 8:00 pm. Everyone in the audience who chooses to be a contestant will be eligible to be called to "Come on Down!" as long as they are 18 years or older, and if they are lucky. The host will once again be Todd Newton.

Unlike the original, The Price is Right, you only get one shot to get out of bidders' row and up on stage to play a pricing game, so make that bid a good one! And in case you're wondering, Plinko is always played on The Price is Right Live show, just for less money.
Tickets to The Price is Right Live are on sale now. Go to The Music Hall's website for tickets and more info.
