Gather For A Cozy Day Inspired By Gilmore Girls in Portland
If you're a fan of Gilmore Girls, which aired for seven seasons from 2000-2007 on the now-defunct The WB, this event will be your next best thing to being a Gilmore yourself.
Gilmore Girls
Gilmore Girls follows the lives of a single mother and her teenage daughter, who live in the fictional town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut. You've got to love it when a TV show is set in New England, even if they didn't film there.
When the show premiered in the fall of 2000, it quickly became must-see-tv for teenage girls and young adults. The banter between the two Gilmore Girls was well written and very funny.
Gooey Girls: A Gilmore Girls Celebration
Gooeygump Designs, a home goods store at 1026 Forest Avenue in Portland, is planning a Gilmore Girls celebration that fans won't want to miss. They're calling it "A Day in Stars Hollow at GooeyGump."
Here's the description from their Facebook Event page:
Join us for a cozy, caffeine-fueled celebration inspired by the charm and chaos of Gilmore Girls! We’re transforming GooeyGump into our own little Stars Hollow for one fall day only — complete with Luke’s Diner coffee, Gilmore trivia, photo ops, themed goodies, and all the flannel your heart can handle. Come solo or bring your Lorelai, Rory, or Sookie — just don’t forget your love of books, banter, and caffeine
This sounds like an event Gilmore Girls fans can't pass up.
This all goes down on October 5, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Get more info on their event page on Facebook.
