Secret Santa Hitting the Streets of Maine to Spread Holiday Cheer $100 at a Time

Secret Santa is a Mainer with one goal of truly helping people feel holiday cheer.

The identity of Secret Santa really is a secret. What isn't a secret is what Secret Santa hopes to accomplish by handing out 100-dollar bills. He really wants to help those who need a little boost this holiday season! He has given us the responsibility of not just paying it forward, but spreading the want to keep paying it forward! That's Secret Santa's true goal. He'd like the spirit to live well beyond the surprise of extra money.

Spreading the true spirit of Christmas throughout Maine

We have the unbelievably awesome task of going all over Maine and handing out $100 bills to unsuspecting Mainers. We are going to try and hit as many areas of Maine as possible before Christmas. From Biddeford to Bath, Greater Portland to the Lewiston/Auburn area. Handing out 100-dollar bills is a great honor as one of Secret Santa's elves. Giving really does make you feel good to your bones.

People's reaction to receiving $100 is always fun

Dressing up as Santa and handing out money is one of my favorite parts of the holidays. Most people react immediately with, 'Really?' Followed by, 'No!' And I spend a good part of my day convincing people that it's not a goof, it's not a prank, and that it is a real $100 bill.

It's real

Since this is completely random, sometimes Secret Santa will give $100 to someone who is doing well and doesn't need it. Good for you! That's when Secret Santa wants you to take that $100 and do with it what you want. Just pay it forward any way you can and help keep the spirit alive and well in Maine.
