Okay, so tell me you've noticed this too.. it seems like Maine is getting smaller, because more and more people are living here now.

According to Maine Real Estate, there is a relocation boom taking place in our Pine Tree state and here's why.

Most of us who live in Maine get it, it’s slower, the access to nature, the sense of security and those are things that a ton of families are craving right now.

Especially after the past few years, more of us are able to work remotely and Maine checks all the boxes.

It’s a place where you want to raise your kids, calmly and grounded.

Now, of course we have crime just like any other place but the lifestyle is highly sought after for families wanting to move.

But here’s the part they don’t say out loud. For moms who already live here, it’s been a little bit of a mixed bag.

Why is Everyone Moving to Maine now?

On one hand, there is new energy, more small businesses, more activities and diversity which can be a really good thing for our families. But, it’s also getting expensive

As per the report, housing prices have gone up and childcare is still hard to find. No tot mention some of those hidden gem spots don’t feel so hidden anymore, because now, everyone is going.

Even signing kids up for programs or camps feels more competitive than it used to.

It’s weird, right? The same things drawing people in are the things starting to feel harder for the people already here.

I think the biggest shift is this: Maine is no longer just a quiet little secret.

It’s becoming a destination for families trying to build a different kind of life.

Here is a list of the 20 highest rated beers from Maine breweries on the website, BeerAdvocate.

The list is dominated by three breweries- Allagash, Bissel Brothers, and Maine Beer Co. The IPA style is clearly the most popular, which is not surprising given recent beer trends.

Research comes from Beer Advocate's Maine page in April 2026.
