Make-A-Wish Maine has granted more than 1,900 wishes to children battling critical illnesses in Maine and that's all thanks to the generosity of Mainers who have donated year-round.

One of Make-A-Wish Maine's annual events is the Make-A-Wish "Power of a Wish" telethon which airs live all day on February 19 on CBS13 and FOX23. It's your chance to help a child have their wish granted.

The Maine chapter of Make-A-Wish was founded by Wayne and Caroline Morong in 1992 and granted more than 1,850 wishes for children all over the State of Maine. All these wishes have been granted through the support of donors and volunteers.

The first Make-A-Wish Maine granted wish was for Robbie Seelye of Calais who wanted an ATV.  On average one wish is granted in Maine every five days.

Make-a-Wish Maine is teaming up with CBS13 and FOX23 for the Fifth Annual Power of a Wish Telethon. Nearly $500,000 has been raised during the first four years of the telethon. How great would it be to cross that $500,000 mark and surpass $6K or even $7K?

The telethon runs all day on February 19th with a "Power of a Wish" Special airing at 7:30PM on CBS13.
