It's hard to believe but summer is right around the corner. It's a generations-long song and dance. After a few days at home, moms and dads hear, "I'm bored," or "There's nothing to do".

Thanks to the program, Kids Bowl Free, bowling alleys are joining together to offer kids free bowling all summer long.

Not only is bowling a blast at any age, but it keeps kids active. And hey, the air conditioning isn't bad during the summer months either.

The program has just a couple of limits. First, the kids must be within the age requirement which can vary per location. Second, kids are capped at 2 free games per day making the program a $500 value per child.

There are eight bowling alleys throughout the state that are participating:

It doesn't look like all locations are accepting registration just yet, but you can sign up to be notified.

For all the details and to begin the process of signing your kids up, head over to the Kids Bowl Free website here. And HAVE FUN!
