Lewiston is a city in Maine with a population of over 36,000, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. It is located in Androscoggin County.

According to Britannica, Lewiston was settled in 1770, then known as Lewiston Falls. It was the site of major textile operations that began in 1819.

Some of the attractions in Portland include the Stanton Museum, North Wood Park Shopping Center, and Apple Valley Golf Course. It is also home to Bates College and the University of Southern Maine campus.

Lewiston is also the site of the annual Great Falls Balloon Festival.
