Here we go again, the L/A Balloon Festival is back and if it’s anything like last year, oh boy. This is going to be fun.
Let’s get the details out of the way first. Where? Simard‑Payne Memorial Park in Lewiston. When? August 15th–17th.
The theme this year is, “The Rise of the Balloons,” and of course if you are a trekkie you will definitely know what film this year's festival theme was inspired from, Star Wars baby! This means, their will most definitely be balloons shaped intergalactically and they’ll float across the sky.

But as we all know, this iconic festival is much more than just hot air balloons, it’s a full on party. Family fun, live music, delicious venders, artisans and more.
You can take a walk through the artisan fair that will highlight the best of the best Maine-made products and crafts. You can take a bite out of everything, and raise funds at the same time for nonprofits.
Don’t miss the parade floats that will gracefully cross the Great Falls over the Androscoggin. From ponies to carnival games, this festival will give you memories to last a lifetime. Considering, it’s pretty much been around for lifetimes!
