Where & When You Can See the Waterville Parade of Lights
Even though it is not always the case, for most of us, the Holidays are our favorite time of the year.
From Thanksgiving through New Years' Eve, most of us have a scheduled filled with dinners, parties, concerts, shopping, and more.
Over the years, I have found that some of the most fun holiday events are the city and town kickoff parties. Tree lightings, Santa's arrival, and parades, for example.
There is no denying that one of the most anticipated holiday events in Central Maine each year is the Waterville Parade of Lights.
The 2025 Waterville Parade of Lights
According to the Kringleville website, the parade of lights will start rolling at 6 PM on Saturday, November 29th.
The parade will start at College Avenue and roll down Main Street.
Due to the ongoing bridge replacement, the parade will stick to the Waterville side of the Kennebec River. The post explains that the hope is, in the near future, the parade will be able to extend to the Winslow side of the river.
The website says, in part:
Floats will assemble along College Ave, travel down to Main Street, stopping at Castonguay Square for the lighting of the giant spruce and Santa’s arrival at Kringleville. A map will be provided closer to the event.
Because of the popularity of this annual event, you are going to want to stake out a spot early so you can have a good view.
If you want updates on the parade, the best way is to follow the event on Facebook.
