Maine Families Need to Put This Pumpkin Train on Their Fall Bucket List
Okay, moms… put this one on the fall bucket list.
If you’re looking for something fun to do with the kids this fall that isn’t just “let’s go to Target and somehow spend $147 on squishes,” you need to check out the Pumpkin Train at the Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport!
The Seashore Trolley Museum is at 195 Log Cabin Road in Kennebunkport, and the Pumpkin Train is an annual fall tradition.
The Maine Foodies, who are excellent at sharing what we must do, recently shared this little fall adventure on and I’m telling you… ALL ABOARD.
You hop on the trolley for a ride out to the pumpkin patch, and here’s the part the kids are going to love: every rider gets to pick a pumpkin to bring home. So yes, you’re essentially combining a train ride, pumpkin picking and fall family fun into one activity. Mom win.

And when you get back to the main station, there are arts and crafts for the kids, too, because apparently they need MORE activities after choosing their pumpkin.
It just feels like one of those classic Maine fall things you’ll actually remember doing together.

Grab the kids and prepare yourself for the inevitable bringing home of every pumpkin they touch.
So if you’re making your Maine fall bucket list, add this one. Your kids get a train ride AND a pumpkin. You get cute pictures. Everybody wins.
