The New Pizza at Cushnoc Brewing Company is a Flavor Explosion – Maine, Take Note
For nearly a decade, the team at Cushnoc Brewing Company has been serving up amazing beer and some of the most unique wood-fired pizzas in all of New England.
The establishment's regular menu features some very creative pizzas that are all named after local landmarks. The Cony High Pie, The Kennebec, and TOGUS, for example.
In addition to the regular menu items, they frequently hit us with special pizzas that are only available for a few days or weeks.
They've done that again and, this time, they have outdone themselves.
We were lucky enough to have a chance to try the new Scolded Dog pizza. This bad boy has roasted pineapple, cupping pepperoni (that's the small kind that curls up around the edges when it is cooked, bacon, mozzarella, and red sauce. The real flavor bomb comes from the drizzle of house made green chili jam that tops the pie.
It is the perfect mix of sweet and savory.
The good news is that, I have it on good authority, that this pizza will be around for at least a few weeks. So, you will have time to try it.
You will find Cushnoc Brewing Co on Water Street in the heart of downtown Augusta, Maine. You can learn more about Cushnoc's pizza and their amazing beers, too, at their website.
