Take for example the latest business causality, Big Al's Super Value Store on Route 1 in Wiscasset is closing it's doors for good at the end of this year after 35 years in business according to a report by WGME.
Big Al's will be placing everything in the store on sale, starting with 33 percent off starting Sept. 20. Big Al hopes to lease out the building for next year. As for the fireworks store, also owned by Big Al located right next door, that will remain open.
So many people young and old can remember stopping into big Al's. You never knew what you would find, except you always knew you would find a great deal.
The store and of course, Big Al himself will be missed by many.
