For almost a decade now, people have been gathering up a car load of people and driving through a light display that rivals the best you'll see anywhere in New England. It's called the Gift Of Lights at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and on select dates throughout December, you can pack up the car with your closest friends and family and check out more than 500 light displays featuring 80 different scenes including an incredible Tunnel of Lights.

New Hampshire Motor Speedway uses more than 2.5 million lights to transform from a hub of racing into a holiday wonderland. If you're old enough to remember the children's toy Lite Brite, it's almost as though many of the designs you would make on a Lite Brite coming to life along the nearly 2-mile journey through the speedway.

And if the light displays aren't enough, there's other fun to be had as well. NHMS has set up a s'mores pit which is open on the weekends for a delicious post-drive snack. Also on the weekends, the speedway is visited by Santa and for a surcharge, you can get an up close and personal picture with the guy in the red suit.

Gift of Lights is open everyday from December 11th through January 5th. Weekday and weekend hours differ. The entire schedule, including specialty nights, can be found here.
