In an act of generosity that so many of us can appreciate right now, one credit union in Maine is going further to ensure that kids in Lewiston aren't spending their days without food.

Maine Family Federal Credit Union announced on Facebook Monday morning that they were partnering with the iconic Val's Drive-In and plan to pick up the tab for all kids meals (ages 13 and under) throughout the month of April. With all children in Maine having to be schooled from home, food insecurity can be a challenge for some families. Maine Family Federal Credit Union hopes that this gesture can help ensure that there are no hungry kids during these extraordinary times.

Val's Drive-In will be offering a menu choices of a cheeseburger, hot dog, grilled cheese sandwich or chicken nuggets. Kids can choose to add fries to that meal along with either a soda or milk. Maine Family Federal Credit Union will be covering the costs for all kids meals at Val's from March 30th through the end of the April.

This incredible gesture is another sign of people and businesses coming together as one to get through this COVID-19 pandemic. Kudos to Maine Family Federal Credit Union.
