A Reminder to Schedule Your Annual Mammogram
It's October, and that means it's Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
And during the month, 94.9 HOM wants to make sure we shine a light on the fight against breast cancer and the stories of hope and positivity through adversity.
But we also know that with breast cancer, early detection is key. So that's why we want o remind you to schedule your annual mammogram.
Mammograms can potentially find breast cancer early, according to cancer.org, and that can be even before a lump is there.
And the earlier the detection, the higher the chance of survival.
Even if you feel like everything is OK, it's still important you schedule a mammogram with your physician.
In fact, women who are 40 and older are recommended to get mammograms or at the very least start having a conversation with your doctor about getting the screenings, cancer.org states.
So don't wait. Make sure you schedule a mammogram today!
