Disney's Beauty & the Beast

Step into the enchanted world the heartwarming tale of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity. With spectacular costumes and characters, Disney's Beauty And The Beast offers a great opportunity to bring your entire family together to relive the romance and magic of this “tale as old as time". Performances will be July 14 - 31th on Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 5:00 pm.

Nature's Outdoor Classroom

Saturday, July 23

The mysteries of the Maine woods will be explored and revealed during this 2-hour guided hike through the Shakers' land. Learn about the indigenous species of birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, fish, plants, trees, and fungi that occupy the many, diverse habitats of Shaker Village. See evidence of glacial and geological forces that formed the land and watershed, including Sabbathday Lake from Loon's Point and the hidden treasure of Aurelia's Cascade. The hike through hayfields, forest land, and century-old logging trails will include insights to the Shakers' 200 years of land use and management .Dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear for a 3-mile, moderate walk. Bug repellent and sunscreen recommended. Bring your camera, binoculars and bottled water.

Ossipee Valley Music Fest

Thursday, July 28 through Sunday, July 31

On the banks of the Ossipee River, nestled in the tall pines, the annual Ossipee Valley Music & Camping festival attracts nearly 5,000 people and features 40+ national acts in roots, americana, folk, & bluegrass music among many other genres, as well as workshops, barn dances, free yoga and children's music programs, local & organic food, craft vendors, tent sites and hookups and more.
Where: The Ossipee Valley Fairgrounds at 291 South Hiram Road, S. Hiram, When you drive into town you will see blue “Music Festival" signs pointing the way.

  • Saturday is $55
  • Sunday is $20
  • A 3-Day Pass (Fri-Sun or Thur-Sat) is $115
  • A 4-Day Pass is $125
  • Children under 18 are Free!
  • After Dark Tickets (These are for if you can't get there until 6PM or later, and don't want to pay for all the music you missed during the day!) are $20 off the regular price. You can buy them alone, or in conjunction with an all day ticket (Example: you arrive on Friday at 6PM and stay all day/night on Saturday)
