Canterbury Shaker Village Delivers Scares with Ghost Encounters

Old World spirits will be haunting the Canterbury Shaker Village in Canterbury, NH during Ghost Encounters. Stroll the Village for trick-or-treating, hear truly ghostly encounters at the Village and sip a little witches brew.

Experience the other-worldly feel of their 200-year-old historic site on an October evening. “The Shakers used to invite the surrounding the community to the Village for a Halloween celebration each year,” noted Funi Burdick, Executive Director. “They loved to have fun and saw this time of year as a chance to embrace their neighbors and celebrate the season. We’re pleased to be expanding Ghost Encounters this year so that we can welcome more families to this unique event.” Be sure to wear a costume. A “Best Costume” contest will be held at 3:15 PM. Tickets are $12 for adults, $6 for children ages 6-17 and free for children under five. Ghost Encounters will spook you on Saturday, October 25 from 3:00-8:00 PM.
