Youth Cheerleading Returns To Augusta Parks And Recreation
According to a Facebook post made by Augusta Parks and Recreation - Maine, they are bringing back the much-requested Youth Cheerleading Program for kids in grades 3 to 8. The first session will run from November 30th thru January 22nd; dates for the following session have not been released yet.
There is a fee for this fantastic program, the resident cost is $45, and the non-resident price is $55. Practices will be Tuesday and Thursday nights from 5:30 o 6:30 at the Buker Community Center Room 18. Cheerleaders will show their skill during the Jr. Rams Basketball Games.
Please take advantage of this fantastic opportunity because the importance of getting local youth out into the community to interact with peers is enormous. Still, it seems like it's even more important since the whole coronavirus pandemic. Sadly the past almost two years have been anything but a traditional childhood for our youth. We must get our world back to the "old normal" because the "new normal" isn't even close to normal.
