Brady Martin Memorial Thanksgiving Food Drive Gathers 100 Turkeys
According to Centralmaine.com, The family of a local man Brady Martin, who lost his life in a logging accident back in 2019, is continuing the tradition they started before he passed away.
Tim Martin, the father of the late Brady Martin, worked in a setting where he saw firsthand the food insecurities in Central Maine. Being a firsthand witness, Tim knew he needed to make a difference, even if it meant for only one meal a year.
After the loss of his son, Tim changed the name of their Thanksgiving dinner food drive to The Brady Martin Memorial Thanksgiving food drive and made it his mission to serve those who didn't have the funds to help themselves.
We happen to share with you that Martin and his family more than exceeded their goal, and because of that, they were able to provide 126 baskets to families of MSAD 49.

How amazing is this community we live in? I wish I had the answer to that, but all I can say is it's pretty darn impressive, and I'm about to tell you why... As a community in Central Maine, we came together and raised 41,000 pounds (and counting) of food! After doing a little math, Keith told us that's a retail value of $112,000.00 in food donations! Plus, we raised $10,000 cash, with donations still coming in daily.
