I am a big Whole Foods enthusiast. Sure, some things are a little pricy but shopping at Whole Foods feels more like an experience than an errand! When I started working on the radio I lived in Portland, Maine. One of the perks was the Whole Foods that was within walking distance of the station! I treated myself to burritos, sushi, ramen bowls, all the dang time! And I wonder why I had no money. HA!

When I moved to the Seacoast of New Hampshire I was sad to learn that the closest Whole Foods was about an hour away. (in Bedford or Nashua) But that is all about to change because Whole Foods is opening a location in Portsmouth, New Hampshire,  Friday, June 25th! It's on Woodbury Ave where the old Shaw's used to be.

So what can we look forward to once they open their glorious doors?

According to the Whole Foods Facebook page there will be:

  • made from scratch breads, cupcakes and other treats
  • organically sourced produce
  • an extensive collection of over three hundred beers

And just like everywhere else in New Hampshire, Whole Foods is hiring! If you know anyone looking for work they offer competitive pay and are hiring for all positions (both full and part time) According to Indeed.com, they are seeking a full time beer and wine buyer, prepared food section manager, customer service, meat cutters, and more! Spread the word!
