New Portland, Maine, VIP Tires & Service Opening Soon

VIP Tires & Service closed on Riverside Street in Portland, Maine, to pop up just further down Riverside Street.

VIP Tires & Service has been part of my car-owning experience since I've owned a car. Obviously for tires, but also service stuff (hence the name). I'd list all the things done to the variety of cars I've owned, but it would take too long. One of the things I LOVE that VIP does without complaint is put air in your tire when it gets cold and that stupid tire gauge turns on and tells me I have a tire with low pressure. So I pulled into Portland's VIP and thought I was having a fever dream when I saw this.

When one VIP Tires & Service closes, another one opens

The good news is that it did have a sign saying that they were moving! So not knowing what the status was I drove to the new location 35 Riverside Street. They were at 522 Riverside Street. They were in the early stages of building the new place described on their sign as,

This was in December of 2024. I decided I'd see what was happening. It looked great and I thought it was open.

Is the new VIP at 35 Riverside Street in Portland, Maine, open?

I peeked inside and they were still working, but it seemed close. I asked one of the engineers working what the opening date was and he said they were shooting for Monday, March 17, 2025. St. Patrick's Day! That's right around the corner!
