Well here's something you likely haven't seen before.

In a Facebook post, Channel 8 WMTW shared a video, taken by Reid Gray. It shows a rare ice formation over Lake Wassookeag in Dexter, Maine.

Fascinating! I like how she describes it as looking like "pancake ice," that's exactly what I was thinking. But then she goes on to say that's not really what it is.

Apparently it's more likely related to gas bubbling up from decomposing sediments. Still pretty cool though!

And I love how someone was able to fly a drone over and give us a bird's eye view. Definitely something you don't see too often!
