Twin Brothers From New England to Appear on New Season of ‘The Bachelorette’
If you're a dedicated member of Bachelor Nation, you know that the journey to find love on The Bachelor, Bachelorette, or Bachelor in Paradise can be quite the roller coaster, even if you are "here for the right reasons" (if you know, you know).
It was announced this year that for the first time in Bachelorette history, two women, besties Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia, will both be the Bachelorette at the same time. And yep, that means they'll be dating from the same pool of gentlemen.
You might be wondering "how on earth will something like that work?" And the answer is that none of us know. This is a first for the show, and for us viewers as well. But what we do know is that after going through the dumpster fire that was Clayton Echard's season earlier this year, both Gabby and Rachel are deserving of love from a man who, well, doesn't lament that he's in love with three women at once.
Here's the moment the big news was announced about Gabby and Rachel. It's so nice to see how genuinely sweet and supportive the pair are of one another.
Just yesterday, ABC announced the men who will be featured on the season in hopes of winning one of these women's hearts. Among the group was a pair of twins from New England.
Hailing from Brookfield, Connecticut, Justin and Joey are 24 years old. The show's website has small biographies for both brothers, including fun facts.
Justin loves the Lakers, wants to learn salsa dancing, and would live in the 90s if he could pick any other decade to live in.
Joey loves go-karting and cheeseburgers, and "nothing makes him happier than winning."
In the spirit of total transparency, after reading their full bios, this writer is skeptical about these guys being the ones for Gabby and Rachel. But as fans have seen before with past seasons, anything can happen. Perhaps one or both of the twins will get their happily ever after, or maybe Ryan, the 36-year-old investment director from Boston, Massachusetts, will catch someone's eye. The only other cast member hailing from New England, Ryan is a pineapple lover, "proud Botox enthusiast", and wants to someday open a dog rescue and shelter.
The new season of 'The Bachelorette' will premiere on ABC at 8pm on Monday, July 11. For more info on the show and the other men competing for Gabby and Rachel's hearts, click here.
