I don't know about you and your shopping adventures, but mine often bring me to TJ Maxx. After all, who doesn't want to buy name brand stuff at a pretty decent discount....show of hands please! Good! Glad to see I'm not the only one.

Recently, it has come to my attention that off price retailers, like TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Burlington Coat Factory, etc are finding themself in a interesting twist of events.....you see the designer brands like Ralph Lauren, Under Armour, Carter's, Levi's, and so on, are beginning to pull away from those retailers according to a story by complex.com.

Like so many things lately, it is largely going back to the pandemic related issues like supply chain issues, and simply less stock available for discount retailers.

What use to be a way for brands to maximize their previous season items, or "seconds" with minor flaws by selling them to the discount retailers is now not seen as the best way to do business anymore.

Let's hope this is a temporary problem, although I don't have a crystal ball, but I do kinda like the way the system was functioning in respect to this.

On the flip side, there are always the factory outlets in Freeport, Kittery, and North Conway. Someway, somehow, we WILL find our deals!

Happy Shopping!
